These suit modules where you need broad coverage fast rather than years-long retention. They work dramatically better when fed complete notes rather than fragmentary ones.
Best for readings and PDFs: NotebookLM
For the reading-list side of revision — papers, textbook chapters, seminar handouts — Google's NotebookLM lets you upload sources and ask questions grounded in them, with citations back to the page. It's the strongest option for synthesising written material, though it does nothing for the spoken lectures that make up most of your contact hours.
The tool that's still you: self-testing
One honest caveat before the workflow: AI tools remove the mechanical work — transcribing, formatting, card-making — but none of them can do the part that produces learning, which is retrieval.
