About NoteMate
NoteMate is an AI-powered meeting transcription tool built to help you stop missing details — in meetings, lectures, interviews, and anywhere else words matter.
I'm Benjamin Tindal, the founder and developer behind NoteMate. I built it because I kept finding myself in meetings and lectures with hand-written notes that missed half of what was said. Existing tools were either too expensive, required a bot in the call, or produced transcripts buried under layers of features I didn't need.
NoteMate is different: you record locally (on your phone, laptop, or web browser), upload the audio, and get back a clean transcript with speaker identification and AI summaries in whatever format you need — meeting notes, action items, Q&A, or a structured outline.
It's particularly useful for students transcribing lectures, researchers conducting qualitative interviews, and professionals who want notes from a meeting without inviting a bot.
What NoteMate does
- Records audio directly in the browser or accepts uploaded files
- Transcribes with speaker identification — see who said what
- Generates AI summaries: meeting notes, action items, Q&A, lecture outlines
- Works on any audio — meetings, lectures, interviews, podcasts
- No bot joins your call — record privately, upload when ready
