About NoteMate

NoteMate is an AI-powered note taker built to help students walk into every lecture already caught up — and to stop anyone missing details in lectures, seminars, interviews, and meetings.

I'm Benjamin Tindal, the founder and developer behind NoteMate. I spent the past five years of studying battling dysgraphia and dyspraxia — drowning in notes I couldn't organise fast enough, and constantly hit with new lecture content before I'd had a chance to take in the last lot. Existing tools were either too expensive, built for corporate meetings, or produced transcripts buried under layers of features I didn't need.

So I built NoteMate: you record locally (on your phone, laptop, or web browser), upload the audio, and get back a clean transcript with speaker identification and AI notes in whatever format you need — lecture notes, summaries, Q&A, or action items. It takes your lecture recordings and messy notes and turns them into structured, easy-to-review material.

I built it because I needed it. Now I want every student who's ever felt behind to have it too. It's just as useful for researchers conducting qualitative interviews and anyone who wants notes from a meeting without inviting a bot.
